A young girl, Elizabeth, escaping from his tyrannical aunt Hilda, in the forest meets a medical student Charles. But soon Elizabeth again in the family estate, where aunt Hilda let her blood, "to cast out demons from her body". Her twin brother Emil begging their father, Baron Zorn, not to hurt her. They have an antagonistic professional relationship in being opposites in the way they approach their job.
